WTF Bloggery — Flowers Not Fuckery

Fist of Foliage | Available in MARCH!

Many of you know that #ScentedGeranium is one of my most favorite #foliages to use in just about everything! It's one of my favorite scents, its FULL of  seriously sexy #texture & it comes in several different varieties; which means different scents, textures, and shades of green. Oooh oooh! Gimme gimme gimme!

BUT — Did you also know that you can practically shove a stem of geranium in the dirt, give it a little water and it will grow?! Like ALL BY ITSELF! I know many people & farmers who have had great success with this and swear it's easy as pie! I however, have thee hardest time keeping things alive that require both dirt & water to thrive. Lucky for me I have an incredible group of farmers & gardeners for friends who swoop in a save my sorry-barely-able-to-grow-anything-ass time & time again.

I am happy to report tho that I have a handful of potted (by me) geraniums from last spring & fall that I've tried desperately not to let get too awfully close to death. I did (t)ask my husband @j1gg1ty to tend to “my crops” while I was too laid up to move...bend…twist…lift…argue. Well, he didn't do a very good job. Probably won't "hire" him again. His excuse is "I got brain damage" ⛑ (It’s a little true, but he’s MOSTLY NOT so true! I wonder how long he’s gonna use this excuse). They seem to be hanging on — albeit just barely. I think they will do much better after @helpinghandsgardening comes over to assess & recover the damage. She’s basically the “Plant Whisperer” & I learn so much from Mary!

Either way I am looking forward to the days in the very near future when two of my favorite farmers; Christine & Scott @killdeer_farms & Elle @sweetmabelsfarm have #geranium coming out their ears! In addition my other all time favorites greenary grown by farmer friend Amie @barnesflowerfarm. She grows the super hardy spiky funky stuff, like #grevillia, #leucodendron, #podocarpus, #eucalyptus & #euphorbia!

I intend to buy as many bunches of greenery as they can harvest to include in my newly available "Fist of Foliage" market bunches that will be available in March!!! Thanks to the Sac Valley Flower Collective for bringing together so manly local farmers & florists to share locally grown product within our communities! Stay tuned for more details!!
