Our Fall Workshop

@ Killdeer Farms Was A Hit!! See What You Missed:

We had an incredible group of people join Christine & I last weekend at the farm for our first fall workshop. Even our husbands joined us for an all hands on deck morning. My husband Jeremy takes on a very “Vanna White-esque” roll & Scott was at the ready in case we needed an extra tool… which we did!

We walked each participant through every step of the pumpkin design process. This included cleaning & de-seeding their pick of the patch. We pre-selected a mix of fresh & dried floral elements ahead of time in order to allow everyone time to really focus on being creative. I had Christine up at the front demonstrating my instructions while I was able to flutter from one table to the next & give each guest any one on one guidance as needed.

At the start of each class I offer basic flower care instructions, proper tool handling, & simple design techniques. So we can get right to FUN stuff! It’s really important to me that everyone feel comfortable & free to create without the fear of “doing it wrong”. Of course there are indeed very specific aspects to floral design, most of which come from YEARS of experience. Because even in all my 20 years…I am still learning new things every single day! There is no way I could teach anyone EVERYTHING I know in a 150 mins. Cramming someones brain full of 2.5 hours of creative information can be overwhelming, as it’s a lot to process & if you think like I do… there are always gonna be more questions!

SO…If after reading this blog post and seeing all the fun we had, you find yourself with a hefty case of F.O.M.O you’re gonna want to sign up for my email last so you’re first to know what my Holiday Wreath workshop happening in December goes live!! Sign Me Up! Christmas is my most favorite time of year & Christmas greens are some of my all time favorite foliages to work with!

Stay tuned #WTFLovers!
